This highly popular annual event, organised by Saddleworth Round Table, is a charity walk starting and finishing at Churchill Playing Fields, Greenfield.

Last year over 1000 entrants, all in fancy dress, covered the 9-mile walk, visiting 10 pubs and consuming ½ pint of beer at each, en route.

The entrants range from individuals to organised groups of all sizes, even up to the 101 Dalmatians of two years ago.

Saddleworth Round Table themselves raise over £10,000 from this event, while the entrants, together with the money collected en route, and their own sponsorship, raise over £40,000 for their designated charities.

The Beer Walk offers fun and high spirits for both walkers and spectators alike.
