Aspects of Saddleworth

An exhibition of oils, watercolours and pastel drawings by the following artists:

Carl Appleton, Janis Bowie, Peter Carter,
Jean Fell, Russell Howarth,
Gordon Radford,
and Mark Whyatt

Carl Appleton Resident in Uppermill, Carl will exhibit watercolours of people, places and events in Saddleworth.
Janis Bowie A teacher at Saddleworth School, Janis will show atmospheric pastel drawings including the canal and its environs 
Peter Carter A well-known local artist and illustrator, Peter exhibits watercolours of interesting nooks, crannies and corners of Saddleworth.
Jean Fell Resident in Stalybridge, Jean produces exquisite interpretations of cottage gardens in textiles. 
Russell Howarth Russell will show finely detailed, meticulously observed pencil drawings of the Saddleworth villages and hamlets
Gordon Radford  A well-known Northern artist and a member of the Manchester Academy, Gordon will exhibit small, recent oil paintings
Mark Whyatt  A tutor at Barnsley College of Art, Mark, in response to the given theme, has produced a series of compositions observing some of the familiar characters in and around the local environment.
